DOGDANCING

The basis of dogdancing is a choreography consisting of various figures, performed by the dog and the handler, accompanied by music. Short shows of dogdancing take place almost at every show before the final contests.

The commands can be arbitralily chosen by the handler, however, some of them are rather established. In any case, the commands should be short and distinct, different for each figure and side. The dog must observe the handler, therefore a suitable reward (toy or titbit) should be used immediately after performing the figure. After learning the figures, a choreography should be created and harmonized with music. It should be noted that the handler should not look stiff, when accompanying his dog.
